Dominic Domingo will be joining San Diego Opera as Director of Artistic Administration on September 10. He comes from Los Angeles Opera where he was Assistant Company Manager, and has been Associate Producer of opera recitals at The Broad Stage in LA. He is also Associate Producer of the Operalia Competition, begun in 1993 by his grandfather Placido Domingo. Dominic has a degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. More information can be found here.

Keith Cerny will become the new President and CEO of the Fort Worth Symphony beginning in January. He comes from Calgary Opera, but had been CEO of Dallas Opera for eight years, where his tenure reportedly created a few issues due to his personality.

Anne Midgette wrote an article recently in the Washington Post, relating in detail allegations of abuse at the hands of three notable figures in classical music. Daniele Gatti has been fired from his job as conductor of the Concertgebouw, Cleveland Orchestra concertmaster William Preucil has been suspended from the orchestra and resigned his position with the Cleveland Institute of Music, and director and artist manager Bernard Uzan has retired.
