Current (a publication for those in public media) is reporting that New Hampshire Public Radio is taking over WCNH, a small classical station in Concord. To my knowledge, WCNH is the only classical outlet on a primary frequency in the state, though NHPR has been airing their content on HD.
I met the then GM of WCNH several years ago at an AMPPR conference. The license for the station was sought as a response to NHPR's decision to go all-talk, leaving New Hampshire without a classical station.
I hope the decision to sell to NHPR will prove to be a positive. Perhaps they will be able to provide resources that the current owners haven't been able to, so as to keep classical music on the public airwaves in the state.
