Early Music America, the national service organization for the field of early music, announces the recipients of its 2015 Summer Workshop Scholarships. This year, EMA is awarding nine scholarships to support outstanding young performers of early music. Students will attend summer early music workshops and receive advanced training in the field of early music. Here are this year’s winners:
Jessica Korotkin, a cello student of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, will attend the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin.
Daniel Mireles, a viola student of the University of California Los Angeles, will attend the American Bach Soloists Academy.
Jonathan Slade, a flute student of the Yale School of Music, will attend the American Bach Soloists Academy.
Alice Culin-Ellison, a violin student of Case-Western Reserve University, will attend the American Bach Soloists Academy.
Sarah Lodico, a viola da gamba student of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, will attend the Viola da Gamba Society Conclave.
Arnie Tanimoto, a viola da gamba student of The Juilliard School, will attend the Amherst Early Music Festival.
David Dickey, an oboe student of The Juilliard School, will attend the American Bach Soloists Academy.
