A virtual concert of the Jupiter String Quartet on April 3, presented by Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, will feature not only Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” String Quartet No. 14 but also a world premiere of Chaconne/Labyrinth by Stephen Andrew Taylor. In fact, the Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, or AFCM, commissioned the latter piece. During the concert, Taylor will speak regarding the piece. The concert will be recorded at University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana’s Smith Memorial Recital Hall.
